When do I have the symptoms?
The symptoms of mite allergy can occur all year round. Mainly and worst symptoms occur after sleeping.
During the night in your bed, you expose yourself, in the worst case, over several hours to a mite colony of up to 10 million mites. The highest mite population is found in midsummer to early autumn. In winter, with the beginning of the heating period and the decreasing humidity, most mites die, but the allergy load in the air is then at its highest.
The decay of the mites and their remaining excrement is still allergenic and is favoured in the cold months by the warm, rising heating air, which therefore means that the allergy burden is highest in the cold winter months!
